Cannes film festival

Cannes film festival: since  70 years, the spotlight has turned towards the city for the Festival of Cannes. This year, that famous festival will take place from 17th of May. It is an opportunity for actors, professionals of the film industry and journalists from all over the world to meet at the “Palais des Festivals et des Congres”.The event is characterized by the opening ceremony and the rise of the walk with the twenty-four "Walks of Fame" and the Rolling out of the red carpet, which is 60 meters long. This is also the time for producers and distributors to meet with silent partners  and sell their works at the same time.If the idea was to crown the best of the directors, actors and actresses but mostly the  films in the context of the seventh art world competition, it was later diversified with the jury prize, the grand prize and the Palme d'Or. Currently, the festival is confined more to the cinema of research.September 20 to October 5, 1946  the first edition took place at the old Casino of Cannes, it was a success and filmmakers have demanded a new edition for the following year. This led the union to the construction of the Palais des Festivals, which was inaugurated on the eve of the 1947 festival.Such passions attract people to Cannes but there are also various activities which allow to take advantage of the event. The exhibition entitled "Cannes Makes the Wall" is one of them. Becoming  a tradition since 2004, this exhibition unveils large size  photos of the cult moments of the festival's history as well as the  famous actors and actresses.Also, during the week of the criticisms , there are some  broadcastings which are  accessible to the public at Espace Miramar. Otherwise, in a completely different setting, for the enjoyment of the gourmand,  there are ice-cream  along the beaches to refresh yourslef. After all Cannes has everything to please, it is one of the most luxurious seaside resorts.
